Part of nearly $133,000 donated by Cox to organizations in RI and CT.

Each year, Cox Charities Community Grants are awarded to a number of organizations that serve the youth population in the region. Read to Succeed is proud to be one of nine Rhode Island recipients selected by Cox Charities New England for 2014.

“Giving back to the community is more than just a commitment, it’s a way of life for our employees and our business,” said John Wolfe, senior vice president and general manager for Cox Communications. “We applaud these organizations for their commitment to helping our youth succeed.”

“Cox fully understands that reading is central to all students’ success in school and in life,” adds David Guertin, Jr., Read to Succeed executive director. “We’re proud to have them as a strong partner in helping to fulfill our mission.”

Cox Charities, a charitable giving initiative of Cox Communications, has invested more than $5.6 million in grants and in-kind support to more than 130 organizations since 2001.
